Milk paint: Real Milk Paint is an environmentally friendly paint made from all organic materials including powdered purified casein, lime and pigments. The pigments are harvested in the traditional manner and are completely safe, eco-friendly, non-toxic, lead free and not radioactive. Linseed Oil Finish: Polymerized Linseed Oil is a certified all-natural (and edible!) oil that is highly expensive and difficult to source. Boiled Linseed Oil (as well as some Danish Oils) contain harmful plastics and petroleum additives. Sure, the drying time is cut in half, but the product can no longer qualify as organic! The same goes for many other types of wood finishing materials. We didn’t just want a product that qualified as low VOC—we wanted a product that was naturally available in a pure form. Polymerized Linseed Oil can also be applied time after time for an increasingly soft finish.
